Clients or viewers very impatient being they don't like to wait they don't like to feel more trouble while accessing your website. If they feel trouble they will quickly leave.

It depends upon on which platform you have made your site; like if you have made site from WordPress or wix and you have used a template for it then may be your site is responsive and nothing much to do. you just have to customize what you want.
But if you have coded your website or you have hired a coder for website then you can just tell him to make your site responsive it's not that big deal.
What to take care of?
As we have discussed in earlier articles your site needs to look appealing so you also have to make sure that after making your site responsive still it's as appealing as your desktop version.
Another thing is that your content on site should be in well mannered and clearly visible without zooming in or zooming out.
